DAY 2
HOW TO BE LIKE CHRIST
Philippians 2:5-11
Often, people excuse selfishness, pride or evil by claiming these as their rights. In school, the majority cheat because they believe that they deserve to pass the class, in any way possible. For money, people think they can just spend everything for themselves, anyway they worked for it. And it seems like normal to hurt others, anyway it’s better than being hurt by others.
Is this the way to imitate Christ?
As believers, as followers of Christ, we should have a different attitude. Our thinking should be to set aside our rights in order to serve others. Christ demonstrated His example first. So we have no reason why we can’t live a life like His.
He is God yet He never considers equality with the Father. Instead He submits and even considers Himself as a servant who obeyed the will of the Father. As a Church, let’s forget our rights, for these were already forfeited when Jesus bought us from our sins. But rather, let’s serve others with the same humility of Jesus, even when we are not likely to get recognition of our efforts, for what we will produce from it is more valuable than anything this world can offer… HEAVEN!
