DAY 24
ON THE ROCK OR ON THE SAND?
Matthew 7:24-27
Being born with no knowledge at all on everything, we grew up with lessons to ponder from our homes, schools, church and relationships with others. And from these, I ask myself:
“From the countless lessons I have encountered since child; why do others still have to remind me to do these and that…the right and wrong things?” I know that the reminders are all familiar like “Don’t lie”, “Don’t judge others”, “Be patient”. These scriptures then tells me that the reason why people are stuck on a sin is that they don’t practice what is right; though they are aware of it.
Like the foolish man in the Bible who built his house on sand, he knows in the future that it will be knocked down but still he built it on the same location. If the house in the scripture is our relationship with God, would we allow it to be broken down because of things we do out of habit? Of course, we won’t. So let your “Yes” for a change be YES. (Matthew 5:33-37). Work hard such that what you made yesterday won’t happen today. Let us build a stronger relationship with God.
