DAY 30

LIVING A LIFE OF EXCELLENCE BEFORE GOD

James 2:14-17

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him. “Go, I wish you well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Every believer ought to strive to achieve excellence in every aspect of his or her life. Most especially in their jobs, where commitment for excellence is one of the company’s core value that employee must have. During my training in Manila at one of the world class pizza restaurant known for their original thin crust pizza. In my three months of training, I was amazed of their commitment in doing their job, and by serving their guest in an excellent way. Indeed it was a privilege for me to work with them. Now, I’m not just talking about doing your job well. I’m also talking about striving for excellence in your relationship with God!

Our God is an excellent God. And an excellent God deserves an excellent response. Once we have received God’s amazing grace, have come the way of the cross, received eternal life in faith in Jesus Christ, then our lives should be a testimony to our gratefulness.

We live in gratitude as true worshippers of God, and we’re motivated and moved to offer up our lives, giving our very best to the Lord because of what He’s done for us. In other words, while faith alone saves, faith that saves is not alone!

As you prepare to enter a new year, commit to living a life of excellence before God, working out your salvation and giving Him your all!

THIS NEW YEAR COMMIT TO LIVING IN EXCELLENCE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST BY GIVING HIM YOUR ALL!
